Hello, I'm Lana Mac.

Thanks for visiting my website, it’s nice to meet you!

A little bit about me, I’m currently an undergraduate student at Northern Michigan University, obtaining an BFA in Art & Design with a concentration in graphic design and minoring in marketing. What made me fall in love with art while growing up in South Lyon, Michigan was being inspired by my mother beadwork and access to my favorite drawing utensils: Mr.Sketch. It has partly made me the creative person I am today, along with chasing anything with vibrant colors and being involved with anything hands-on. I love problem-solving through design and how it can have a significant impact on businesses and communities. I recently completed my study abroad summer program focused on Sustainable Business in France, which has helped me broaden my perspective to think globally in design and marketing. Which has solidified my reason to continue this career path.

Alongside my schoolwork at Northern, I am a part of the school’s cross-country and track team! Being a part of the team has furthered my leadership and time management skills and has allowed me to continue one of my favorite hobbies, which is running. Other hobbies include: watching movies and football, designing posters, and going to live music events. I have gotten more involved in the sports community at Northern by being a SAAC representative (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for NCAA), member of the Mortar Board National College Honor Society, and a member of the CMD+C club for graphic arts. I also work with the De Vos Art Museum as a Graphic Design Intern, a position to apply the design skills I have learned in the classroom, and volunteer as a docent for K-12 tours.
