Featured thirty artists who participated in Nido (Italian for “nest”), an artist residency in Monte Castello di Vibido, Italy. The artworks highlight a multitude of sensory approaches that reflect and respond to a shared place-based experience.
I wanted to create a design that harped on the word murmurations, which is the patterning birds create in the sky and also to Nido. The halftone illusion is inspired by bird murmurations and explains the chosen sky-colored gradient. The Murmuration materials uses a grid base structure and pulls from Bauhaus design principles.
