Hello, I'm Lana Mac.
Thanks for visiting my website; it’s nice to meet you!
I’m an undergraduate at Northern Michigan University, earning a BFA in Art & Design with a concentration in graphic design and a minor in marketing. Growing up in South Lyon, Michigan, I fell in love with art through my mother’s beadwork and my favorite drawing tools: Mr. Sketch markers. That start shaped the creative person I am today, along with a pull toward vibrant colors and hands-on work. I love solving problems through design and seeing its impact on businesses and communities.
Outside of class, I run cross country and track for Northern, which has strengthened my leadership and time management. I also serve as a SAAC representative (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) and belong to the CMD+C graphic arts club. In my free time, I enjoy movies, football, designing posters, and live music.
My design experience includes:
- DeVos Art Museum: Graphic Design Intern, and volunteer docent for K-12 tours.
- Northwind (student newspaper): Graphic designer creating visuals for articles and promotional materials.
- City of Marquette Arts & Culture: Public Art Intern
